Product SKU SKU 100

Short description

Along with the Mustang immortalised by Steve McQueen in the film Bullitt the previous year Ford's 1969 version of the Mustang Fastback has got to be one the best looking cars ever built. This particular car built in Metuchen in May of that year is no exception.

1969 Ford Mustang 302 2+2 Fastback (SportsRoof) with 3 speed manual gearbox and factory Power Steering. This Mach1 styled Fastback is finished in Gloss Black with Red Vinyl bucket seats and matching Kiwi interior and has the 4 headlight set-up that was only seen on the 69 cars. Mach1 flat black bonnet, turn signal air scoop, bonnet pins,Mach1 front and rear spoilers, sports mirrors, factory steel wheels with GT hub caps and trims and B.F.Goodrich Radials. The 302 Cleveland still retains its metal factory engine tag confirming its May 69 build date and along with its metal fender tag it appears this is a original numbers matching car. Its factory Autolite 2V carburetor,Ford intake manifold, rocker covers and air cleaner are all still in place, all of which gives this Mustang a very period look.

Just imported from the U.S.A and will be supplied with UK registration,MOT,1 years road tax (tax exempt) and a specialist engine tune and service.

Subject to a partial restoration in the States in 2014 which has included new floors, front and rear valances, new chrome bumpers, new carpets and tyres, new fuel tank, new rear leaf springs, brake system overhaul, new parking brake cables and a full professional repaint. The result of which is a very well put together Fastback with arrow straight exterior paneling. The interior looks to be original and in very nice condition with no sign of excessive wear or repair. All gauges are functioning correctly and it has a Sun SuperTach fitted to the steering column.

New 3 point retractable front seat belts just fitted (rear factory lap belts in place) along with new main weatherseals throughout. The new rear carpets are yet to be fitted and are currently exposing the new floors - photos of which can be seen on the Flickr link.Chrome exhaust tips are now fitted.
