Short description

1969 Triumph TR6 4.0 V8 5-speed

1969 Triumph TR6. Modified and upgraded fitted with a Rover 4.0 V8 from a TVR and mated to a 5-speed SD1 gearbox. Wrapped in Brushed Aluminium over original Royal Blue, with black wrapped bumpers and bright-work. Moto-Lita steering wheel, stainless steel dual exhaust system,a recently fitted hood, both full and half tonneau covers and factory steel wheels.

A very special TR built to cover long distances in relative comfort and without too much stress to the car or its occupants. Has been driven to various European events including the Le Mans 24 Hours and Laon Historic Classic events proving itself quite capable of serious touring. Fitted with MX-5 seats for added comfort and scheduled this week to be re-covered in soft black leather.

Great fun to drive with a wonderful V8 sound track from the dual exhaust.Supplied with a rolling road print-off showing the car develops 226 bhp @5100 rpm.

By no means a show car and clearly could not be at this sort of entry level money. If the measure of panel gaps is your decider when buying a classic TR read no further-this one will not be for you.

However this particular TR6 is ready to get out on the road in whatever the weather and enjoy without the usual concerns many have over using their cars how they were meant to be used. This is a great opportunity to own a fast and very usable TR6 and drive every day if you wanted to.

Comes with its spare wheel and tools and a new MOT.3-24 month warranties available and being an Historic Vehicle road tax is free.
