Swainby Classic Car Show 27th Of August 2017


Swainby Classic Car Show started all the way back in August 2005, since then the attendance of the show has increased enormously and really become a date to pencil into the calendar for everyone local to Swainby and for anyone with a classic car. Now over 500 classic cars, classic motorbikes, tractors commercial vehicles, buses and bicycles turn up each year!

Funds raised at the show over the years have been donated to many charities which have included, The Transplant Team at the Freeman Hospital Newcastle, The Butterwick House Children’s Hospice, Herriot Hospice Homecare, Great North Air Ambulance, The Mowbray Suite Friarage Hospital Northallerton, Breast Care Fund at North Tees Hospital, Breast Care James Cook Hospital, Herriot Hospice second time, Teesside Hospice, Friarage Hospital M R I scanner appeal, Herriot Hospice third time, Teesside Hospice second time, Yorkshire Air Ambulance, Cystic Fibrosis unit St James University Hospital, Prostate Cancer UK and Swainby Village Hall restoration fund.

So come down check out the show! There will be refreshments available throughout the day from our friends in the Village Hall on the High Street, both village pubs, and from a stall on our showfield. There will be lots of delicious home made cakes available, oh and don't forget we are having a open day so come and say hello and have a look at our wide array of classic cars in stock, Hope to see you all there!
