1967 Mercury Cougar XR7 Hardtop Coupe 289 V8 with 3-speed Automatic Transmission, Power Steering and factory A/C. Finished in Ivy Green metallic with Luxury Saddle Bucket Seats and interior and 15-inch Weld Racing alloy wheels fitted with recent new tyres. Also supplied with its factory 14-inch steel wheels and covers and white band tyres.

Built at Dearborn in Michigan on the 8th of August 1967. This take on the Mustang from Mercury-based on the 67 Mustang Coupe and produced by Ford-makes for a refreshing change to the ever popular but consequently numerous Mustang. It’s Charger style vacuum operated headlight doors making it an even more distinctive car on the road.

It comes with a huge History File complete with maintenance and restoration invoices, original hand book and all MOT’s going back to its first importation into the UK in 1978. Original spare wheel and boot mat. A car we sold initially last year when it  was fitted with new fuel, oil and water gauges, track-rod ends, starter motor, new front tyres, front wheel tracking and given a service covering just a few miles since then.

Also comes with a lovely V8 burble from the duel exhausts and is great to drive. This fairly rare alternative to the Mustang also benefited from a full repaint in our body shop last year.
